Robert’s Story

My name is Robert Lovett and I was diagnosed with stage 4 non-small cell lung cancer on September 12th, 2022.

When I was first diagnosed with cancer, I thought it was the end because I lost my mother to cancer. However, my team explained to me that the diagnosis didn’t mean it was the end with the advances in treatment that exist today. If it hadn’t been for my team, I honestly would have given up.

I have found strength in my faith. My faith in God has given me the strength to continue on and my team the wisdom to treat me. I’m able to see how that is working to help me.

Hold on it’s not the end, there is hope. When it comes to the word “cancer” and if you’re anything like me, you think it’s the end. But there is always hope and faith. Have faith in God that he will give your team the wisdom to treat you and will give you the strength and hope each day to continue on. It may be a long road, but there is a smile at the end.
